Advice for Weymouth BID Levy Payers
As we continue to monitor the situation, it’s ‘business as usual’ for the Weymouth BID team and we will continue to help our levy payers in the best ways that we can. At present, businesses are not being instructed to close. We recommend that you communicate clearly with your staff and customers and take all necessary preventative steps to reduce the spread. Please support other small businesses in Weymouth during these times.

Advice for Weymouth Event Organisers
It is advised that all events within the next two weeks are cancelled and postponed until a later date, no matter the size of the event. This is a responsible step to prevent the spread of COVID-19. For paid events, we recommend that you directly contact any customers who have booked tickets. For free events, please update potential event-goers by changing any digital listings or social profiles. Ask your customers to follow you on social media or sign up to email newsletters to receive information about rescheduled dates.
Weymouth Business Rates during COVID-19
Dorset Council will be rebilling all businesses which are eligible for business rate relief through the Governments COVID-19 package of support.
You do not need to take any action as the Council is already in the process to preparing revised bills. For further information please read our dedicated business rates pages.
The Council has commissioned Dorset Chamber to provide information and a helpline with advice for businesses on dealing with the disruption caused by COVID-19. This can be accessed through the Dorset Chamber website. [Information as of 23 March].
