Greenhill Gardens, The Esplanade, Weymouth
An Amazing Award Winning Gardens sometimes described as “the Jewel of Weymouth.” — Sited on the Esplanade on the northern approach to the town, in Hardy Country and nestling by the Jurassic Coast.
The Gardens were gifted to the Council in 1902 and 1904 for the benefit of “the inhabitants of Weymouth.” — Now the Weymouth Town Council manage and look after the area.
The Gardners do the most incredible job each year of making the gardens look attractive all the time. It is due to them that the Gardens have won the prestigious Green Flag Award every year for over a decade.
Whats in the Gardens?
Floral clock, 2 cafes, tennis courts, putting green, Schneider trophy monument, wishing well, sensory Gardens, the Bennett shelter, a Floral clock and some delightful flower beds and seating areas.
The Friends of Greenhill Gardens
The Friends of Greenhill Gardens have erected a Bandstand which is in use on Sunday afternoons from May to September each year.
