Located on the Isle Of Portland, Church Ope Cove is a beautiful pebble beach part of the world famous Jurassic Coast. The beach is sheltered and smaller than some of the other beaches in and around Weymouth, making it perfect for a family day out. Shallow waters make it ideal for swimming and snorkelling, as well as the nearby ship-wrecks which attract divers. To access the beach, follow the main path past Portland Museum and under the arch bridge of Rufus Castle.
The picturesque St George’s Church is also only a short walk away, and makes for a nice break from the beach while seeing the beautiful scenery.
