Castle Cove Beach is outside Weymouth and is located on the Weymouth side of Portland Harbour. It can be accessed via a footpath from Old Castle Road and down some steps that were constructed with money raised by the local community when the previous steps were removed. The beach is very popular with dog walkers all year and with local families in the summer. The water is relatively shallow and as it is on the harbour the waves are very small. It is a safe place to swim or launch a kayak or paddle board. Please be aware there are no public toilets on this beach. The beach is looked after by a team of volunteers so please assist them by taking your litter home.
