West Bay is a beautiful, scenic place located on the outside of Bridport. The harbour is surrounded by a range of fish and chip shops and huts, ice cream parlours and other great places to have something to eat and drink.
Walk on through to the beach, part of the Jurassic Coast, you will find yourself on the scene of Broadchurch – a national famous crime/drama aired on BBC 1!
West Bay is also surrounded by cliffs and footpaths, so you can enjoy a long or short walk too.
If a lovely walk with fantastic views for a bite to eat and a few pictures appeals to you, West Bay has it all!
The First Bus service provides you with 2 different bus services that will take you to West Bay. To ride along the Jurassic Coast before you arrive, you can hop on the X53 from the King’s Statue in Weymouth or you can board the slow-coaster (service 510). The slow coaster takes a lot longer, however designed to take in the views of the Jurassic Coast and allow you to get off and take pictures on your journey.
The journey is approximately 45 minutes for the X53 route and 1 hour 40 minutes should you decide to board the slow coaster.
