Just off Old Castle Road on the way from Weymouth to Portland you will find too smaller less well known beaches.
Popular for swimming, sailing, snorkelling, paddleboarding and diving, Sandsfoot beach is to the right of historic Sandsfoot castle, where you can enjoy fantastic views and a bite to each and drink from the cafe.
Just a little bit along from the left of the Castle you will find a short footpath and steps down to Castle Cove beach. The steps were built in 2019 after a 4 year funding raising effort by local people after the previous steps were removed because they were dangerous. People are encouraged to take their litter home as the beach is not maintained by the local authority but by volunteers.
