Run by Dorset Wildlife Trust and the continued help of volunteers, the centre is open 7 days a week to the public and puts nature conservation and public education of topics that cover biodiversity and sustainability at the centre of all activities it runs. Children can wade into the shallow waters and study crabs up close or become seashore detectives, whilst guided tours of the area allow the whole family to unearth the natural secrets of Chesil Beach and the Fleet Lagoon. And when you’ve worked up a thirst and an appetite putting nature under the microscope, the onsite restaurant, Taste Café, provides an array of tasty meat and fish dishes and refreshing drinks for the whole family to savour.
