The Doghouse is not your common or garden pub, it is a micro pub. Micro pubs are becoming ever more popular throughout the country. The recognised definition of a micro pub is:
“A micropub is a small freehouse which listens to its customers, mainly serves cask ales, promotes conversation, shuns all forms of electronic entertainment and dabbles in traditional pub snacks”
Our only nod to modern day technology is that we do provide free Wi-fi! Apart from that as per on our flyer. We supply real ales directly from the cask. We are hoping to support local breweries by sourcing from local micro breweries but also hope to bring in ale from further afield, hopefully finding new beers for our inquisitive customers. We are dog friendly, we welcome accompanied children before 5pm every day.
We currently open 12 noon every day until 9pm, on Friday and Saturday we close at 11pm. These times will probably change in the future once we have an idea of busy and quiet periods. Any changes will be listed on social media as well as on location with at least one weeks notice.
The plan is to provide a quiet, relaxed environment where people can converse, drink good beers (and other drinks) without being drowned out by noisy machines, TV’s, jukeboxes or even people!!
