Challenge WeymouthChallenge Weymouth returns to Weymouth on September 13th and the area boasts many venues and locations to get into the Challenge Weymouth Triathlon spirit.

Take a dip in the waters where competitors take the first part of the race in Weymouth Bay. Swim in the bay and see the white Purbeck cliffs standing proudly in the distance.


If you don’t fancy taking a dip outside, the area has a selection of indoor pools for you to use;

small-banner-cyclingCycling around Weymouth, Portland and Dorset is a fantastic form of exercise and is a great way to see the sights of the county.

If you want to keep in Weymouth and Portland, take an easy cycle along the Rodwell Trail. This is a beautiful ride which has views of Portland harbour and Chesil Beach.

Jog or run along Weymouth’s Seafront and take in the Georgian setting. Go past the iconic Jubilee Clock, blue and white Victorian beach shelters and Weymouth’s beautiful beach. The finish line of Challenge Weymouth is at the Weymouth Pavilion end of Weymouth Beach, take the route competitors along the Esplanade will make on the 13th Sept!

This year’s Challenge Weymouth Triathlon will be filmed and broadcast live. The event will be broadcast in a one hour TV programme broadcast all over the world. Channel 4 on 26th September, Sky Sports and Eurosport will televise the programme to around 1 billion viewers!
