Weymouth and Portland Pride will be a colourful and truly inclusive programme of events designed to showcase the vibrant diversity of Weymouth and Portland. The goal is to bring together our local community and warmly welcome others with an unforgettable celebration of equality. By delivering an inclusive, safe and enjoyable festival of celebrations we hope to promote the visibility of our LGBT+ community in Weymouth and Portland.
Pride is for everyone and during the weekend there is plenty of entertainment planned for the whole family. The line-up for the event has been announced:
Friday 26th July
The Parade Street Party kicks of Pride at 1:00pm at Radipole Park Drive. This parade will be a colourful and diverse celebration, including school groups, acts, charities and local businesses. Rejoin the party at Radipole Park at 3:00pm for the Open Air Cinema and enjoy a whole evening of entertainment for the whole family.
Saturday 27th July
The main stage festival commences at 12:00pm at Radipole Park where we have a huge line up of acts and events scheduled for the whole day. Host Vicki Vivacious welcomes a diverse and electric line-up of DJs, tribute acts, drag acts and live singers. The event is headlined by X Factor’s Misunderstood, 90s dance sensation Booty Luv and Big Brovas and JLS star Aston Merrygold.
Sunday 28th July
Pride in the Park day will showcase local entertainers, musicians and DJs to suit all ages. The entertainment starts at 12:00pm and will include local singer songwrites Finlay Leslie, Neil Coad and the amazing Leanne Jackson. Head to the beach for 9:30pm for the Pride in the Sky fireworks!
