As if summer wasn’t busy enough, we’ve got a packed diary down here in Weymouth. There’s so much going on it’s the perfect time to book your visit. Our main event, famous across the whole country, is the fantastic Pommery Dorset Seafood Festival on 11th and 12th July. If you like your food fresh from the sea, your mouth will be watering here all day long. As sensational smells waft up and down the harbour, the multiple stalls and tuition stands will be giving us all a better understanding of the superb seafood available just off our wonderful shores.
Use the Park & Ride service over the weekend for only £3 a day (per vehicle including bus travel!)
Toilet facilities for the festival can be located in Trinity Road and Maiden Street; both either side of the harbour.
With a nod to the good old days, the Chickerell Steam and Vintage Fair rolls into town on 4th-5th. Always a fascinating day for the whole family. Then over on the beach on 15th we’ve got the Royal Navy Rugby Union Beach Festival. Fun, fast-paced and exciting, this is an extremely popular spectacle with players and spectators alike. Enjoy the FREE Sport and Wellbeing Festival at Weymouth Beach on 18th-19th; for all ages and abilitie. And if you want even more action, get your ice cream ready for Volleyball Classics on 24th-26th. Grab a seat early because it always draws a big crowd.
Heading out for a day trip? Why not drop into Camp Bestival in Lulworth 30th July – 2nd August just up the road. With live acts like Underworld and Kaiser Chiefs, along with comedy, activities and food tents you’ll have a jam packed day – and evening – for sure!
