Feast Weymouth 2016. We Are Weymouth

– Weymouth’s top eateries announce participation in exciting annual dining event –

After weeks of discussions and confirmations FEAST Weymouth is now ready to reveal its 2016 participants!  This year’s eight-week long foodie festival, supported by Weymouth BID, is now in its third year and is more focused than ever.  The event will bring greater variety, better value and more customer satisfaction.  As ever, there are a mixture of eateries taking part and this year the team behind FEAST Weymouth has honed in on venues that offer the best menu’s and of course, the best FOOD!  Word has now spread about the popularity of FEAST Weymouth and this year venues as far as Portesham are keen to take part.  All participants outside of the BID levy area are required to pay a £75 contribution.  FEAST Weymouth aims to encourage visitors into the twn to sample the wonderful independent restaurants, café and pubs on offer.

John McInally, Head Chef of Shelley’s at The Dining Room comments: “We are really excited to be part of FEAST Weymouth this year.  Weymouth really needs this sort of event in October and November and we can’t wait to get cracking! We think we have a great menu and can’t wait to share it with you all.”

New for 2016 is the opening event on Saturday 1st October – the pop up kitchen. The pop up will be located in the town centre and will be adorned with local chefs demonstrating new dishes and giving the locals a chance to sample specific dishes from their restaurant. An incredible cooking class competition from Les Enfants Terrible is also up for grabs! More details coming soon.

Luciano Da Silva, head chef at The Nothe Tavern comments: “FEAST Weymouth is such a great event, and an excellent way for us to showcase our refurbished restaurant! We are thrilled to have this opportunity to let everyone know about our new delicious menu, cosy surroundings and great bar. Diners are encouraged to follow FEAST Weymouth on social media as there will be some fantastic prizes throughout the 8 weeks.

The FEAST Weymouth promotion will work with each participating venue providing a set-menu or offer within the price ranges of £5, £10, £15, £20 or £25 for customers to dine at their establishment throughout the month of October and until the 30th November. Each venue will have their own terms and conditions so diners are encouraged to call ahead and book. Menus for each participating venue will be displayed across the We Are Weymouth UK website .
