The Jurassic Coast will shortly be welcoming a new arrival from London’s Natural History Museum – Dippy the Diplodocus. He will be in residence at Dorset County Museum, Dorchester, from 10 February until 8 May.
As part of Dippy’s visit, the Jurassic Coast Trust are inviting guests to their 2018 Dinosaur Sleepovers. They will take place on 17 February and 7 April, and will be similar to our previous sleepovers at the museum, but with an extra special, and extra large, guest!
Tickets go on general sale from 6pm on 19 January 2018.
Tickets are £30 per person regardless of age (this is higher than our normal sleepover price due to the special one-off nature of the event). Your ticket includes Saturday evening activities, film, and snacks, and Sunday morning breakfast.
This event is recommended for children aged 7 and above, and all children must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Parents and carers please use discretion when booking your tickets to decide if the event is appropriate for your children.
Book tickets for 17th February 2018
Book tickets for 7th April 2018
The sleepovers will feature awesome Jurassic-themed activities all evening including:
- A face-to-face tour of Dippy through the museum’s mezzanine
- Fossil Face Off in the Jurassic Coast Fossil Gallery
- Dinosaur film screenings (one for older and one for younger children)
Bring your sleeping bag and torch and tuck in for the most unforgettable dino night of your life!
All proceeds from this event go to the Jurassic Coast Trust, looking after England’s natural World Heritage Site for present and future generations to enjoy.
