Weymouth BID (Business Improvement District) is a business-led initiative supported by the government which gives local businesses the power to raise funding to improve the Weymouth trading environment.
In 2018, the Weymouth BID received a second “Yes” vote from the Weymouth business community. In July 2019, Weymouth BID was one of 20 BIDs in the UK to gain accreditation from the National BID Advisory Board.

Weymouth is a very popular tourist destination, attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors a year, both domestic and overseas. One of the UK’s most popular coastal towns, there is an estimated £180 million direct visitor spend which supports over 5,000 jobs and business in Weymouth.

Weymouth has great road links to Bournemouth, Southampton, London and the South East via the M27 and M3. The A30 links to the South West and the M5 corridor. After hosting the 2012 Olympic sailing, the brand new A354 was constructed connecting Weymouth with the busy A35.
