SPOOKY SATURDAY – 29th October

GET SPOOKED on Spooky Saturday on 29th October with all the gruesome and frightful fun in Weymouth. Get involved with Spooky Halloween Crafts, Freaky Face Painting and Grisly Games to name but a few! Gain insight on the horrors of pollution and who the real monster of the seas are in Weymouth Sealife’s ‘Spooky Seas’! Visitors can also enjoy a novel pumpkin hunt, spooky fact finding, origami making, crafts and fancy dress. This all-new event for Halloween will also introduce “Enchantress” in the Enchanted Cabin set among the Wetlands, where spooky and ghoulish potions are ready to be made!

It’s time to dig out the skateboard to shred some of the pipes down at The Front Skatepark on the 23rd of October! The ‘Trick and Treat’ Jam is being held once again, where membership is not required to enter. Not only will the skate Jam be taking place, there will be competitions, pumpkin carving, apple bobbing and much more. Fancy dress is encouraged, so if you want to test out your Halloween outfit, or just
get some inspiration, this is the place to be! A small entrance fee is required, but will be used on new ramps and repairs!

Get your dancing shoes and your best Halloween outfit on and take part in this fantastically FREE workshop!


Try Fright Night at Fantasy Island Fun Park, with lots to do for children and adults: dressing up, face painting and much more! Not forgetting the scariest Ghost Train, which will have you shaking in your boots! As well as this, upstairs, the restaurant and cafe/bar will have delicious BITES to tempt you. For a small fee you can enjoy The Ghost Train, rides, soft play, or take it slower with meals and drinks!

Join in the Halloween pumpkin fun at the Zizzy Pancake Shop in a warm atmosphere full of scary stories. For just £10 per person you can have any pancake tower or waffle plus any drink. If it takes your fancy, you can even carve your own spooky pumpkin to place outside your door this Halloween!

Furthermore, there will be an hour long Ghost Walk hosted by local historian Dave Allan, where you can Learn about Weymouth Harbour and when it was riddled with The Plague, the terrifying being that lives in Old Custom House and murders in The Boot.
