This Easter the Weymouth BID will host a Pirate Family Fun Day on Saturday 26th March which launches the two-week Scallywags Pirate Treasure Trail and a spectacular competition to WIN a Trip on a Tall Ship – worth £500!

Ok you lolloping landlubbers, don’t miss out on Scallywags Saturday on the 26th March. Bring the family down to get involved in some great pirate fun including a beach treasure hunt, real pirates, entertainment and more.

Scallywags Saturday marks the first day of the FREE Pirate Treasure Trail (26th March -10th April) around Weymouth Town Centre. Track down the dastardly Crimson Serpent Crew on walls and buildings in and around the streets to find the treasure chest. Download trail entry forms online from the 26th at www.weareweymouth.co.uk or collect from the Weymouth BID Office, 15 St Albans Street.

As well as the Pirate Treasure Trail, from 11am Spot the REAL Pirates hiding in the town centre and collect their stamps to claim your Pieces of Eight. Take part in the Treasure Hunt on Weymouth Beach, guess the location of the buried treasure chest to be in with the chance of winning the booty!

From 1pm meet the Pirates by the Tall Ship Pelican on Custom House Quay – be ready with your camera to take selfies! Be entertained by Captain Bluster with his ship HMS Thunder-blast and remember to don your best Pirate dress to be in with the chance of winning the Pirate Fancy Dress competition at around 2.30pm. Wessex FM will be bringing the music and games as well as Captain Bluster making Pirate Cutlasses – perfect for a cutlass fight!

For those of you who wish for a taste of the Pirate life enter the Win a Trip on a Tall Ship competition – worth £500! Set sail on board the Tall Ship Pelican from Weymouth Harbour and travel along the Jurassic Coast to Bournemouth.
