Freaky Streets starts Saturday 22nd October 2016 with a FREE Freaky Streets Hunt as well as other great activities from local businesses and attractions leading up to Spooky Saturday on 29th in Weymouth town centre sponsored by Dave Cumber Vets!
Starting on the 22nd there will be a FREE Freaky Hunt around Weymouth Town Centre which asks participants to follow clues to find the answers from characters on walls and buildings. All participants with the correct answers are in with the chance of winning some spooktacular prizes! Whilst participants are searching the streets, they will be asked to rate the businesses Halloween displays. This year Freaky Streets has had a great turn out from businesses with over 30 getting into the spooky spirit by decorating their windows and interiors to create some haunting displays!
Nigel Reed from Weymouth BID said, “Last year the displays from businesses were fantastic and it created an excellent atmosphere in the town. One of Weymouth BID’s aims is to increase footfall in the BID area and I hear regularly that the hunt leads participants to discover areas of the town centre they had never been before.”
Businesses and attractions in and around Weymouth are also getting into the Halloween spirit this half term. Events include Zizzy Pancakes’s Halloween Parties, MFA’s Glow-Bowling and bowling packages from 8pm and Fantasy Island are having their FRIGHT NIGHT! Don’t miss the FREE Thriller workshop for 4-12 year olds at the Weymouth Pavilion on Wednesday 26th too (booking required)!
