If it’s old stuff you’re into you have to come to the Weymouth antique shops. Brewer’s Quay Emporium is a huge former brewery building in Hope Square, where you’ll find a maze of small independent shop-lets selling all sorts of things from days gone by. This is not high-brow antiques, but the kind of place you can spend half a day reliving the 60s and finding those perfect unique pieces for your home from the thousands of items of Twentieth Century memorabilia.
Wander around and you’ll discover hidden treasures like ‘Vintage’ on North Quay. Just opposite Brewer’s Quay, to the left of the Red Lion, there’s a tiny lane. Here you’ll find Nautical Antiques. The treasures stowed away in this shop are a sight to behold. Shiver me timbers!
