Explore the great outdoors with a host of family-friendly active and outdoor activities in Weymouth geared for everyone. The question is not what you’re going to do whilst on holiday in Weymouth but rather how you’re going to fit it all in. There’s so much to see and do whilst you’re out and about, that it might not be a bad idea to piece together an itinerary. Why not find some active and outdoor activities to explore the wonderful outdoors and beautiful Weymouth scenery? Your morning can be filled with a scenic and fairly active bike ride taking in the sights and sounds along the famous Tour de Manche cycle route that extends from Poole to Weymouth. Don’t worry if didn’t bring your bikes, there are several hire shops to call on. The afternoon can be taken at a more leisurely pace as you marvel at the creativity of Weymouth’s historic sandman creations at the aptly titled Sandworld. Whilst the early evening can be spent amusing the kids with a spot of crabbing on the quay, finished off with drinks on the beach on a picnic blanket and a variety of culinary delights that you sourced from the many local markets. Let your imagination run wild with a host of fun-filled active and outdoor activities in Weymouth:
  • A spot of mackerel fishing off the back of a chartered boat
  • An open bus trip to Portland to fly a kite and enjoy the town’s legendary cream tea at the lobster pot
  • A walk around the historic harbour complemented by a traditional fish and chips meal whilst watching the sunset from the harbour wall
