The First Bus service offers some unique routes that are designed to get you from place to place whilst taking in some fantastic scenery on the way.
500 Service (Open-Top Bus Along the Sea Front and Beach)
An open-top service that takes you along the coast of Weymouth, enabling you to experience the true value of Weymouth beach. As a new route, First Group are offering a buy one get one free offer. Please read and print 501 buy one get one free offer and show to the driver to claim.
501 Service (Open-Top Bus to Portland)
For a perfect ride up to Portland Bill, you can take the open-top bus service, giving you a unique experience and you won’t have to worry about parking. The buses allow for bikes and dogs also. However, please bear in mind that the service runs at weekends only.
The journey takes approximately 45 minutes but it’s worth every second! At Portland Bill you can find the old and new lighthouses, plenty of walking space, a brilliant view out to sea and a place to eat and drink.
X53 & X51 Services – Jurassic Coaster
The X53 service takes you from the King’s Statue in Weymouth, right the way through to Bridport, taking you on a coastal journey via. Portesham, Abbotsbury, Burton Bradstock and West Bay – you can get off at West Bay to visit a beautiful harbour and beach, right where Broadchurch was filmed!
The X51 takes a different route, taking you from the King’s Statue in Weymouth all the way to Axminster via. Winterbourne Abbas, Bridport, Chideock, Charmouth, Lyme Regis (famous for fossil and ammonite hunting) and Axminster.
