Easter in Weymouth is a great time of year. With many children on half term holidays from school the events season springs into action. This year there is an array of events and attractions happening across the town and the surrounding areas. 1.        The We Are Weymouth Dino Trail happens around the Town from the 8th – 23rd April. Easter in Weymouth welcomes some family dinosaur fun to the town centre, harbourside and beach. Put on you Pith Helmet, dust off your magnifying glass and join the fun! There is also a Roarsome Dino Day on 15th April. A day full of free family dino fun.

Weymouth Wade2.       Take a paddle in the bay and join in with the Weymouth Wade. On 16th April Weymouth & Portland Lions Club are holding a wading race through the sea from the Pavilion to either the clock (adults) or to the statue (children). It will take place at low tide at a distance from the shore where, for average height participants, the sea will be around knee height.


3.         Check out all the latest box office releases at Cineworld this Easter in Weymouth. Get a first look at movies such as Smurfs 3D: The Lost Village, The Boss Baby and Fast & Furious 8. 


4.         SandWorld reopens on 8th April. Join the creatively brilliant team for their 7th year at SandWorld! Their theme for 2017 is ‘A Life on Earth 2’, featuring Finding Dory & Nemo, Kung Fu Panda, King Kong, Jurassic Giants & Madagascar to name a few.


5.        New for Easter at Weymouth’s Sea Life Adventure Park is Caribbean CoveCome and climb aboard the brand new Caribbean Cove Galleon and sail away to the seven seas on a magical adventure.

6.       The World of Peter Pan at the Nothe Fort 2016. We Are Weymouth. At the Nothe Fort, the World of Peter Pan family event is happening Sunday 9th April 11:00 am – 4:30 pm. A repeat of last year’s very popular family event. The Fort Artillery will be firing their cannons and leading the battle against the pirates. We would like all you budding apprentice pirates to join in, so don’t forget to bring your cutlass or make your own sword on the day.

 


Giant Easter Egg Hunt at Abbotsbury Gardens.7.         Giant Easter Egg Hunt at Abbotsbury Gardens takes place from 14th to 17th April. Find a golden acorn and win a £95 Family Season Ticket; find a golden horseshoe and win a Giant Chocolate Easter Egg (two giant eggs each day).

8.         The Weymouth Easter Pantomime is Robin Hood. Taking place at Weymouth Pavilion on Good Friday – 14th April. Join our heroes Robin Hood and Maid Marian in this swashbuckling, arrow-slinging, tights-wearing comedy adventure!

With an all-star cast, including Britain’s Got Talent Winner George Sampson as Robin Hood, children’s TV favourite Dani Harmer from CBBC’s Tracy Beaker and Strictly Come Dancing as Maid Marian and X-Factor Runner-Up Andy Abraham as the wicked Sheriff of Nottingham. 9 .        Tea on Quay music festival at The Rendezvous is happening again this year on Easter Sunday 16th April.
