Dorset is easily accessible by road, linking with the M3 from London and the M5 from Birmingham.

By road, travelling to Dorset is an enjoyable and scenic journey, being only a couple of hours ride from London and passing through beautiful countryside along the way.

Once here, enjoy the peace and quiet – there is only 5 English counties left which do not have a motorway and Dorset is one of them!

Driving is a pleasure on our traffic-light country lanes, just make sure you don’t get distracted by the incredible views!

By Train

South West Trains travel to Weymouth Dorset is served by a reliable rail network between many of the UK’s principal towns and local stations throughout the country.

The Dorset travel network has direct trains from London Waterloo that stop at Christchurch, Wareham, Dorchester and Weymouth as well as Gillingham, Sherborne and Axminster (for Lyme Regis).

Dorset is also lucky to have connections to Bath, Bristol & Gloucester.

The nearest airport is Bournemouth. A regular train service runs between Weymouth and Bournemouth. A taxi will be needed from Bournemouth TrainStation to Bournemouth Airport.

Southampton Airport has a direct link by train from Weymouth

Bristol Airport is about 85 miles from Weymouth. There is a regular train service between Weymouth and Bristol. Further transport is needed between Bristol train station and Bristol Airport.

Exeter Airport is about 57 miles from Weymouth

All London Airports are easily accessible by rail (London is about 3 hours direct from Weymouth by train). Further journeys to the airports will be needed.


By Sea
